2011 Vauxhall VXR8: Vauxhall at Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Vauxhall VXR8 2011 - in Holden clothes With the Goodwood Festival of Speed just a few weeks away, we’re going to get a fair few car makers letting us know what goodies they’re taking to the show. Today it’s the turn of Vauxhall. Probably the most interesting is the first appearence of the 2011 Vauxhall VXR8 in the Goodwood First Glance/Supercar Group.

Mercedes Ener-G-Force concept

The Mercedes Ener-G-Force concept is Benz’s answer to the 2012 LA Design Challenge brief to create the "Highway Patrol Vehicle 2025". As the name suggests, the large SUV is also a hint towards a future redesign of the classic Geländewagen G-Wagen/G-Class. Graphically this is most evident around the Ener-G-Force’s DRG with its dark mask incorporating deep-set lamps (here with ‘G’ lamp graphics), a surprisingly traditional Mercedes grille and characteristic fender-top turn signals.

Infiniti Etherea - Infiniti's Compact Concept for Geneva Last week we had one of Infiniti’s Rolf Harris doodles come in to tease an entry-level Infiniti Concept scheduled to make an appearance at Geneva. This week, with two weeks to go until the press days at the Geneva Motor Show, that Infiniti Concept gets a name and we also get a photo to put to the name – The Infiniti Etherea. Etherea seems a bit pretensious for an entry-level Infiniti, but it’s not a name that will make it through to the production car it spawns.
